Unearthed Festival – Midsummer

Unearthed Festival – Midsummer

Whilst on a trip to Pembrokeshire we popped over to see Chris and Clare, a lovely couple I know from my days in Southampton. They moved here a decade or so ago and have since retired. They are loving life and their new home in Wales.

They sent me details of Unearthed Festival knowing full well we’d love it!

They were right, this festival is right up my street. Amazing vibes and incredibly friendly people.

It was a lovely way to end our trip to Pembrokeshire and it was wonderful to catch up with Chris and Clare.

Whilst Clare and Chris had weekend camping tickets, we booked last minute and were only a able to stay on site for a little under 24 hours. But we packed a lot in during that short time. It turned inti a late one…

We had a lot to catch up on… I last paid these guys a visit five years ago (link to my last trip here) but this was the first time they have met Emma.

Chris plays the ukulele now, so the pair of us had an impromptu jamming session back at their pitch – poor Emma and Clare!

The stages here are intimate with plenty of elbow room, and places to sit and watch the artists.

Smiles are etched on everyones faces here. It is such a happy place.

Below are just a handful of snaps of some random people at this amazing place where the troubles of the world appear so far away.

I think we will return!

Somehow, on one of the smallest festivals on the planet, Emma and I got a little lost on the way back to the live-in field…. Can’t think why!

…Until next time.
