Bristol – Hallway makeover

The day after my return from Bordeaux I jumped in my car and joined Sarah at Loz and Andy’s house in Bristol. Natty couldn’t make it unfortunately, work commitments!
The task, was to prepare the hallway for a top coat of plaster, which meant two days stripping wallpaper, sanding, chasing walls etc…
This first home ‘doer-upper’ is really starting to take shape now.
Andy had a ‘Homer Simpson’ moment and invested in some proper “man-tools” for the job.
So we all donned our PPE and got stuck into the ‘list’.
Noise, dust, projectiles, trip hazards, working at height, dynamic risk assessments – it was like a return to my old job.

We got a lot done and had a great time in the process, stopping every now and again to enjoy the sunshine and each other’s company.
It’s been a while sine I’ve been here.

We found a slither of grass-snakes in the garden too – but then left them alone in their wood pile. I’ve never seen so many.
We also enjoyed some organic and fresh food from Loz’s allotment, which is just over the fence from where she lives.

The four of us cracked on with the jobs, and I think Loz and Andy were happy enough to with the progress made.

Until next time!
