This is the BIG 6-0 year for many in my school year – including Mark James!

His wife, Jo, had arranged a surprise gathering for friends and family in the Pen and Pencil, a bar in the Northern Quarter.

So Emma and I travelled up from London to join in the celebrations.

We also met up with Robbie, another old schoolmate from Mellow Lane, both are highlighted below, in photos taken around 1982.

It was lovely to celebrate this milestone and to meet up with Mark and Jo’s family again and hit the baby largers.

We started the evening in Freight Island, meeting up with Lisa and Jeremy who was celebrating his 50th end ended the night at ‘Behind Closed Doors’.

We drove up on Friday returning Sunday, and stayed with my skin and blister in Stockport.

We also managed to find time to visit the local comedy club “Outside The Box’, stupidly deciding to sit on the front row, as we were picked on by a few of the acts.
